Adidas Stands Fearless AF

Adidas Stands Fearless AF

Have you ever wondered why there are still issues with equality in today’s world? If so, then Adidas’s new ad focused on empowering females and female athletes will be something you like. We know it’s a thing we shouldn’t have to do in 2017, but it wasn’t that long ago that women weren’t even allowed to run in marathons. Just ask Kathrine Switzer, the first woman to run in the Boston Marathon in 1967, and also featured in Adidas’s newest ad. Here we are roughly half a century later and thanks to Adidas, we have another fantastic ad that delivers a jolt of inspiration.

The second ad in Adidas’s running series for women was released at a perfect time, prior to the New York City Marathon. It showcases celebrity athlete marathoners Karlie Koss, Mary Keitany, Robin Arzon and others. It strikes the perfect tone of resisting the status quo and injects power behind the equality movement through striking images of women in action. It also doesn’t hurt that the blatant initialism of AF (or “as f**k”) is a part of the marketing message.
