The Cure for 2020 could be CVS

The Cure for 2020 could be CVS

2020 may be the year that CVS Health reigns supreme. In the last three months of 2019, CVS outperformed its healthcare competition with its stock growth of 14.4% (compared to the industry average of 10.6%). Much of this can be attributed to its successful merger with Aetna, one of the leading American health insurers. The merger survived an antitrust lawsuit and Aetna now has the ability to send members to CVS with zero legal repercussions. Pundits say this new grip on the market will allow CVS to give a face-lift to its retail locations and increase its productivity. This means next time you need that prescription, you’ll likely be filling it at a ‘renovated’ CVS.
