In the past, we’ve covered the reconstruction of legacy brands soaked in racial controversy. Aunt Jemima was one of those in the food & beverage industry that couldn’t ignore the need for change and promised to reposition itself and make things right.

That time has come—and Aunt Jemima (owned by PepsiCo) has rebranded its products as the Pearl Milling Company, after one of the original mills that produced the pancake mix back in 1889.
