It appears that LendingTree was looking for their version of Flo (from Progressive) and landed on Aunt Linda (Molly Shannon from SNL). The ad spots do a good job of promoting LendingTree’s features while playing up some alliteration and heavy New York accents. While some are fine with the humor in efforts like this, others have demonstrated disdain for them.
