Competitors Might “Meet” Their Match with Google’s Updated Service

When it comes to communicating while you’re working from home, there are a sea of tools to choose from—and the list is growing as companies and start-ups find themselves building new solutions and vying for peoples’ attention.

One interesting development recently is the transition Google has made with a product that’s been around for a while. Google Hangouts has been in a transitional period. The company re-engineered the service to be free for everyone and also rebranded it to be called Google Meet. The video conferencing platform is poised to compete with Zoom, GoToMeeting and Microsoft Teams—the big pandemic contenders.

Google’s new ad is part of a campaign to promote their Meet service as the ideal solution for holiday celebrations, birthday parties, meeting of the minds, band meetings, class meetings, family meetings, workout meetings and more.

  • BRAND: Google
  • WHY YOU’LL LOVE IT: Because you want more options to communicate, and free is a nice option.
