Dreyer’s Rebrands Eskimo Pie to Edy’s Pie
After months of rebranding, Dreyer’s Ice Cream’s Eskimo Pie, America’s first chocolate covered ice cream bar, will have a new name. Edy’s Pie is nod to one of Dreyer’s founders, Joseph Edy. The re-branding, which began earlier this year, is meant to be a positive step on the solution to racial equality. Dreyer’s said it had been intending to rebrand the controversial product for some time and will continue to adapt its marketing for the future. The new pies will hit stores in early 2021!
