Human Opinions: Kraft Is Swearing In This Ad

Kraft released this Swear Like a Mother ad with Melissa Mohr, Ph.D., a swearing expert and author of Holy Sh*t: A Brief History of Swearing. In it, she gives viewers a rundown of how to creatively swear in front of children. Mother’s Day is the focus of this ad because, according to a study by Kraft Macaroni & Cheese, 74% of moms have sworn in front of their kids. They also state that moms swear more than dads. Is that true?

We liked that Kraft was bold and took a chance with this ad. There’s always something so satisfying about bleeping out swear words and it usually makes everything funnier. We also appreciated that this ad was targeted at parents, you know, the primary purchasers of said boxed noodles and cheese.

Beyond the ad itself, Kraft also has a fun landing site for the campaign where visitors can download PDFs to make their own Mac & Cheese Mother’s Day card. Nice touch!

Have an opinion? What did you think of Kraft’s Swear Like a Mother ad? Are you a mom? Have you sworn in front of your children?
