Elon Musk knows how to drive excitement no matter where he goes. He also knows that he periodically needs to do something completely outrageous to keep the public interested and talking about the companies that he’s built.

That’s why the announcement that a new Tesla Roadster package will come with strategically placed SpaceX rockets comes as no surprise. Musk is known for these elaborate PR stunts and product offerings and it works. Placing a rocket on a car seems absurd, but Elon Musk knows that’s what drums up press for the company.

According to Musk’s tweet, “SpaceX option package for new Tesla Roadster will include ~10 small rocket thrusters arranged seamlessly around car. These rocket engines dramatically improve acceleration, top speed, braking & cornering. Maybe they will even allow a Tesla to fly…”

The real question now is when they’ll create our Blade Runner flying cars. That’s what we’re really waiting for, isn’t it?
