The Pokémon Company Keeps People Coming Back for More

Pokémon has been a hot topic over the last two+ decades. Like most brands, it has seen varying levels of interest. While the pandemic has hurt some brands, Pokémon saw a crazed resurgence in its trading cards. One example of this was at a Walmart store in Erie, Pennsylvania, where customers waited outside the store and stormed through the front doors after employees restocked the shelves. Why, you might ask? It seems that some of these cards which are sold in packs for $20, are selling individually for hundreds of thousands of dollars. No matter how personally interested you are in Pokémon, it’s clear that this brand has what it takes to keep people coming back for more.
