LimeWire is Looking to Be Back in the Limelight

First released in early 2000, LimeWire was an online file sharing program that found a niche for those looking to discover and download music. Now, LimeWire is back and it’s devoted to discovering another type of niche marketplace—namely NFTs. According to its website, LimeWire’s mission is to allow artists to go back to selling directly to fans and collectors. Focused primarily on music and entertainment, it provides creators and collectors a place to buy and sell with or without cryptocurrency. That’s a big deal, since most NFT marketplaces only allow purchases with some form of crypto.

The question is—will LimeWire shed the copyright infringement stigma it once had as it makes its way back into the limelight.
