MGM’s Leo the Lion is Roaring to Life—Even If He’s Technically CGI

Metro Goldwyn Mayer (MGM) recently updated its movie studios logo, replacing the live action version of the lion with a CGI version. The identity is one of the most well-known in Hollywood and has been in use since 1924. In a time when many brands are refreshing or reimagining their identities, it’s nice to see one that decided to remain true to its roots. And even though the live action lion is history, the careful consideration to what came before is abundantly apparent.
